      hi

thanks atom for this great project. this is just dream-come-true for any stubborn fellows who just can’t give up their hardware synths, which includes myself.

but there are still many many synths just waiting to be hooked up.

i would love to make some, but i don’t know a thing about programming software.

if there is an easy way to make one, i and many people can participate in this project. and, maybe one day, there will be a plugin for every each hardware synth out there.

i thinking, something like device panel in cubase, console in dp, environment in logic.

the ideal will be the device panel in cubase. i have’t had a chance to use one, but it looks to be simple and essential.

can add any control, 1 way communication (yes, i know it violates the definition), and, the most important, save and recall of patch setting.

if it is possible to just drag and drop knobs and sliders, a window opens up for entering sysex info or cc#, save the knob or slider, save templates, exist the editor. then load that thing in daw, do synth programming, save, browse, and recall patches.

      that will be perfect.

but perhaps that idea is too big for this project?

there is something like that an idea, it’s called Dashboard and is built in Ctrlr, its purpose was to add elements i missed, but it’s not working very well yet. It will at some point i just have some other priorities now. But you can give it atry.

i wasn’t able to find where that feature is.

may i ask where or how to try out that dashboard? is it more user friendly, meaning people without programing experience can use?

i think youre onto something possibly great, if it were possible in an easy way to build your own editors through a easy to understand and intuitive user interface

this feature is going to be an editor for Ctrlrs at some point, a complete WYSIWYG editor for devie editors, it just needs a lot of work, but it’s something i always wanted to create and i will.
