      Lo All.

First post. First off, hats off to Roman for bringing this to fruition. I remember a thread about this a long time ago on VSE when this was in it’s infancy and I am very happy that is has come this far.

Now to my issues. I am trying to get the new builds up and running and am testing on my TX81z and EX-8000 and neither are effecting the hardware. I looped back the one for the EX8k to look at what the cntlr software is sending and it does not match up to the strings I have for controlling the EX programmed into my Remote25.

      Example: VCF cutoff

      My string: F0 42 30 03 41 0F XX F7

      What ctrlr is sending: F0 42 00 03 41 15 XX F7

Same thing seems to be happening with the TX (format ID is 00 instead of 10 for midi channel 1)

So the format ID looks like it is incorrect in the software. Is this an error or am I doing something wrong? I can play the keys, change channels and banks btw..

      Win7 64bit running GM5x5x5 interfaces..

well i imagine the new engine is not yet handling the midi channel stuff, i’ll fix that asap. As for the parameter number i think i built the EX8000 without anyone ever testing it, so you are the first one <img decoding=” title=”Smile” /> i expect bugs in all Ctrlrs until someone tests them, i don’t have all this gear, and the only way, for me to find out if my manual interpretation for a specific piece of hardware is correct, is by asking people with that hardware to test it.

i’ll have a look at my EX8000 midi stuff and match it to your strings and fix what i can.

It looks like it is handling the midi channel assignments just fine since if I change the default channels it does change (00 01 02 – 0F etc) however I think it should be 30-3F etc (based on the sysex spec on pg 62 of the manual http://www.pallium.com/bryan/dw/DW-8000_Manual.pdf). The same thing seems to be the case for the tx81z, the strings are right except for the format ID which is 10 (sniffing another editor) and the ctrlr software is again sending 00.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help..

Beyond that, everything does work fine in the standalone

yeah the midi channel is wrong, cause I have channel modifier (adding two bits to channel) but it’s not working yet, i fixed some sysex stuff in the EX8000 cause i added DEC values and didn’t convert them to HEX ones, so that’s fixed (that’s why filter cutoff was 15 and not 0x0f). I’ll fix the rest asap and upload new builds.

                That did it!

Everything looks good so far in the stand alone. Will play around some more tomorrow and take a look at how it plays with C5..
