I’ve made a few sliders in knobman but don’t seem to be able to import them into ctrlr. I seem to remember on one of these threads seeing that it was still an upcoming feature, but I notice when i select one of my custom knobs as the image resource for the image slider it loads fine (the knob graphic with full rotation) — when i select an image resource that’s a rectangualar slider exported from knobman the image resource shows up blank…
I’ll try next giving the slider the same number of frames/states as my knob, but just wanted to throw the question out there – what are the requirements for putting in custom graphics for sliders as opposed to knobs? Is this even supported yet or am I chasing my tail?
thanks!

May 8, 2011 at 7:54 pm #1863sliders are comming for now just the rotary sliders work
May 9, 2011 at 10:56 am #1864msepsis, you already can use sliders/faders. The source picture in knobman just has to be exactly a quadrate. ” title=”Wink” />
May 9, 2011 at 11:31 am #1865well yes if the frames are square (width == height) it will work but if they’re not equal it won’t, i need to re-write the whole image handling class cause i’m using old v4 code
October 19, 2012 at 5:40 pm #1866I’m having problems too..
The knob I exported from knobman’s examples, "114"
found here- [url:32005kbx]http://www.g200kg.com/en/webknobman/gallery.php?m=p&p=114[/url:32005kbx]wont work properly after I exported it as a PNG file, added it to resources, then selected it as the image resource
I set the frame width/height both to "70".. so those match and it still wont "turn".
What it does is it shows each frame of the animation.. the frames slide up/down.I’ve closed/reopened Ctrlr and the problem persists.
Attached below is my panel I’ve been working on.. it’s the light blue knob under "ATTACK" that is giving me problems.

Also attached is the 114.png file that is the knob itself.

October 19, 2012 at 5:57 pm #1867Try setting frame width/height to 64.
October 19, 2012 at 5:59 pm #1868Where did you get 70 from? ” title=”Smile” />
The image resource you supplied has a frame size of 64×64, so that’s your problem. Also I’d suggest selecting every modulator and change the mouse type from "none" to "normal" so your mouse pointer doesn’t vanish when you’re on the knobs, unless that’s what you want.Monstrum Media | Music, Sound & Software Design, Chicago / San Francisco listen
October 19, 2012 at 6:55 pm #1869setting to 64 works. Thanks!
Now I know what to do next time.. check the imported knob image properties "width" value, then enter that into both the component width/height values.
Easy smeasy.Regarding the mouse… I’m not sure what you were seeing.. I thought all the knobs on my panel were all set to "Normal" in "Mouse Cursor"

I had opened your panel in ctrlr 1137, after the great JUCE mouse cursor index reshuffling. Just be aware if you use this panel in a newer rev of ctrlr you’ll need to select all modulators and set the mouse cursor type to "normal" as they will be set to "none" in more recent ctrlr revisions.Monstrum Media | Music, Sound & Software Design, Chicago / San Francisco listen
