I would like to know a bit more about “input from plugin host” option.

If I activate it inside a DAW, the panel receives midi from the host (just midi notes that show up in the mini monitor) but my method for “Called when the panel receives a midi message” seems to ignore them.

If I activate then “input from host to comparator”, some of those note messages are processed by “Called when the panel receives a midi message” method, while many of them are ignored. All the notes show up in the midi monitor, but the method only catch a few of them.

Is this method only valid for messages coming from the MIDI Input device?
      What is comparator?

My goal is to receive midi notes from an external device whose midi ports are open in the daw (so not available to Ctrlr), routing the signal to Ctrlr track and selecting input/output from/to host in Ctrlr’s Plugin options. Outputting midi from the panel to the device this way works, but not input.
