Yes shit, i can’t take this OS anymore, the whole "can’t change you mouse acceleration curve" – thing is getting on my nerves, the OS is unusable my hands are shaking from throwing the mouse on the screen like i were on drugqs.
Anyway, i posted two mac builds for the EVO and the MS6, 3 versions are includes AU/VST/Standalone, let me know if you can run them at all, cause i assume there will be SDK issues (10.4 10.5 10.6 stuff).
I’m using 10.6 from what i can see the C compiler Apple gives is not compatible with the 10.4 SDK (wtf?), so i don’t know if it’s possible to do 10.4 builds at all on 10.6 system, weird shit.
I can switch to 10.5 sdk if needed but i need to know about it.
August 4, 2010 at 9:00 am #1773FYI
I use a Razer Krait gaming mouse on my mac pro, and that thing is lightning fast, even at a very low speed setting in prefs it flies over my big ass cinema screens like a F18 Hornet jetfighter:)
August 4, 2010 at 9:17 pm #1774well speed is not a problem, but the acceleration curve, mouse pointer reacts differently when i move the mouse slowly and differently when i move it fast, i installed some logitech drivers but that helped only a little bit.
Anyway, i made new OSX builds, the old ones were wrong in terms of AU and VST, i fixed what i could i tested them in Live and Logic, Live loads both, Logic validates the plugin and loads it on the track, i also rebuilt everything with the 10.5 SDK (also the EdoController library witch is the engine for all Ctrlrs). Fixed some naming stuff in the Info.plist file. It works for me that’s all i can say for now. Any feedback is welcome.
oh and i changed the forum appearance it looks nicer like this i think ” title=”Smile” />
August 5, 2010 at 7:24 pm #1775Well new mopho working well on ppc g5 in logic on osx 10.5.8. Can’t use standalone as seems to be Intel only. Thanks for update.
August 5, 2010 at 10:52 pm #1776i updated the old mac builds and added some new ones,
standalone is now a universal binary (i forgot to add the ppc arch), i also did a bugfix where parameter names would not show up in DAWs, now they do.

Nice. Thx. Will try tomorrow.August 7, 2010 at 6:09 am #1778Is the Tetra AU up? The downloads link is giving me a page not found.
August 15, 2010 at 8:25 am #1779Don’t sweet it. PPC’s time is almost up. No one would blame you if this was the last build. Although it’d be nice to see a JX-8P and DX-21 10.4 version that worked considering I just overclocked my G4 ” title=”Wink” />
If you get around to building those I’ll try them again in Ableton Live. TAL-Audio’s Noisemaker gave me a bit of trouble but the AU worked fine after rescanning VSTs from the prefs page.
Anyways, thanks for all the hard work.September 30, 2010 at 1:09 am #1780Apple is not big on backward-compatibility ” title=”Smile” /> I think in general if you compile for 10.5 and 10.6, most people would be happy. Like the previous poster said, I don’t think many people could really complain if PPC support was dropped… it’s probably reasonably easy to do both for now anyways.
September 30, 2010 at 9:28 am #1781well it does not look like that i got a few 10.4 requests so if i dropped support for that, a group of people would be very unhappy.
i’ll be doing an update to the build system so that all ctrlrs get a 10.4 and a 10.5 build.September 30, 2010 at 6:38 pm #1782Ok so i updated 3 builds, Mopho/Matrix 1000/JX8P, those builds have a deployment SDK of 10.4 and in theory should work in anything that’s 10.4 and higher. If someone could verify that and give mee feedback if that indeed works on 10.4 and 10.5 (i only have 10.6 at the moment). Please test all versions Standalone/VST/AU and let me know.
October 3, 2010 at 7:27 am #1783Alright, So the Vst version doesn’t open in Live. No new Juce vsts has so far. The AU version opens now and I’ve gotten it to send CC and note data but still no sysex. Not sure if this is just Live or the ctrlr because I get the same thing with the standalone. I tested my setup with the Sound Pac editor just to be sure.
If someone who has gotten it to work in Live on a newer Mac OS could give me tips on how to set it up I could test more. I’ve also got a copy of Tracktion3 I can install and test it there.October 3, 2010 at 8:37 am #1784WItch OSX is that ?
October 3, 2010 at 9:48 am #1785Oh, Sorry. I’m using 10.4. I just assume that the 10.5,10.6 versions worked OK.
October 8, 2010 at 6:40 am #1786No luck with Tracktion3 on Tiger. Tracktion recognizes sysex but not AU format and the vst version doesn’t load. So I was not able to test anything.
October 8, 2010 at 12:06 pm #1787I’ll try to install a tiger build somewhere (it won’t be easy though). And test it there, i assume i’d need to change the base framework to 10.4 but if i do that the AU build is broken on 10.6.
October 22, 2010 at 8:26 am #1788Well the latest JX-8P is working in Tiger and mostly playing well with Ableton Live. I was very surprised at how little CPU it uses.
There seems to be a problem with Live not allowing the VST version to playback automated parameters. Live has a kind of effects "punch-in" ability that keeps turning on when playing back automation. The good news is that the AU version is not affected by this.
The only other issue is that every option in the portamento/key mode section doesn’t seem to work. I’ll try it again. I may need to set something up different on the synth.
As soon as I get the battery replaced in my DX-21 I’ll try that one too.October 22, 2010 at 8:54 am #1789i have the JX8P myself so i’ll test that at home too.
what do you mean by: "not allowing the VST version to playback automated parameters" is this a bug in Ctrlr or some Live limitation ?
October 22, 2010 at 9:36 am #1790If you record or draw in an automation envelope/curve then manually change that parameter during playback Live stops reading the automation clip until you hit the punch in button. Live seemed to be confused and stopped reading the clip no mater how many times I turned it back on. I’m not sure if the controller was sending data causing it to turn off or what. It’s strange because the AU works great.
I’ll try it again tomorrow after I’ve had some sleep.December 22, 2010 at 11:33 am #1791"atom":2fmmei0l wrote:Yes shit, i can’t take this OS anymore, the whole "can’t change you mouse acceleration curve" – thing is getting on my nerves, the OS is unusable my hands are shaking from throwing the mouse on the screen like i were on drugqs.[/quote:2fmmei0l]
Mouse Acceleration:

I can’t use external mouse without it."USB Overdrive" is another solution..
