Hi, I’m new to Ctrlr and need some help with some basics. I’ve managed to make a working panel for my Waldorf Pulse and I’d like to tweak it a bit (I’m using Ableton Live 8 if this makes a difference).

First up, how do you set the sliders in Ctrlr to ‘pick up’ the current setting on the synth? Is there a way to do a SysEx dump from the Pulse maybe (I don’t understand ‘SysEx’ yet so this might be nonsense!)? Likewise, how do you make the sliders pick up what you are doing on the synth?

Also, is there a way of saving presets, preferably all the presets on the Pulse also saved in Ableton and an ability to write to the empty banks on the synth? Can you make Ctrlr pick up the currently selected preset on the Pulse as you scroll through?

Finally, is there any way to change the units each sliders displays- ie. can you change the numbers (usually 0-127) to words instead? It would be cool when you have, say, a waveform select control and it displays: ‘sine’ ‘saw’ ‘square’, instead of: ‘0’ ‘1’ ‘2’.
Failing this, would it be possible to have a label that changes colour when its value is selected by another slider (and the change back when not selected)?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give

As far as I know: Not at the moment but later.

2. question: The answer you can find in your other thread. The magical word is "FixedSlider".
