Could you explain briefly how the program manager is supposed to work? I decided to give it a spin before setting up my own program manager. Synth is a very simple waldorf rocket, i figure I go to the program manager, enter a request dump script, create banks and programs but when I do that and then right click a program and select “get from device”, I get back “Request of type “RequestProgram” with index “0” timed out. I don’t see anywhere for a “RequestProgram”, but I put my dumpRequest Lua script (sends a dump request to the rocket) in the “Called to initialize data retrieval from device” script selector.

I’m also not understanding and never quite have how the “snapshots” feature works.

I wanted to try and just do this aspect through ctrlr’s interface rather than building something myself like what dasfaker did on some of his panels.

I’ve clicked on snapshot and can this “convert” a program dumped
or not from the device to modulator positions.
If i understand “snapshot” is a midi program for the host and “Library” a midi bank (or sub bank ?) for the host….
We still need to dump the snapshots to the device but it’s ok for me.
Is there a special workaround to “convert” snapshot into a dump
message or we continue to use midi function throught LUA ?

This subject deserves it’s own documentation page which i will write with examples, but i need to finish what i started.
