OK for the impatient
– shared resources fix (memory used will be only for ony instance of the used resource)
– Toolbar for each panel (can be horizontal and vertical and customized)
– Local programs and banks first draft (add, remove, change, no renaming yet)
– luabind integration (dropped Dilucullum)
– started working on a import framework, i’m starting with a Ctrlr v4 importer, this will be done in LUA so custom importers can be written by anyone
– some fixes (check the Changelog)
– OSX clicks still don’t work in Maschine and Live7, they do however work in Live8, Reaper, AULab this bug is something i think is inside JUCE and i posted the author some time ago but i still got not usable response the topic is here http://www.rawmaterialsoftware.com/view … f=8&t=7103May 5, 2011 at 9:24 am #1454Great ” title=”Smile” />
Is it possible to get the au / vst midi i/o buttons working so you can really use the plugin at your daw? also, is the plugin name fixed so it works out while the ctrlr.component is in the folder at the same time?
Also a thought, is it possible to choose how many panels will get exported to player version?cheers,
– janiMay 5, 2011 at 9:49 am #1455like i wrote there is a bug and it’s not possible to get the buttons working because of the bug, i know it’s unusable in those host but it’s usable in others.
the player thing is a work in progress on the MAC it’s more complicated then it should be, i’ll work on some of that stuff but i’m making no promises.May 5, 2011 at 10:12 am #1456So the things you’re working at the moment are:
1. getting the buttons with midi i/o working?
2. getting the player export working so you can use multiple exported ‘panels’ in a daw?edit: while exporting player, all the midi port i/o’s are gone. so basically you _have_ to use the ctrlr program so you can set the midi ports…?
May 5, 2011 at 12:23 pm #1453Nice update! Revision 431 could be the v5 version I was looking for.

Wooh, this are very bad news for me – I got really stuck atm. But: many thanks that you take care of this heavy problem! Don’t know if I should switch back to revision 381-396. They work for me, but on the other hand there are some significant bugs aswell (e.g. parameter states are not saved correctly and it’s not possible to disable sending their messages on startup… doom loop).Just beeing curious, because this bug appears between build 396 and 402: Did you implement a feature which is causing this? I assume it’s not possible to disable it (or in a particular release)? If there is comming no useful answer in the JUCE forum – does it mean that there is no possibility that Maschine & LIve 7 are supported in v5 anymore?
Hope you’ll get an answer at the JUCE forum (or find a work around?) soon…
May 5, 2011 at 12:45 pm #1451no it’s not something i changed, i checked the example code from JUCE Library and the same thing happens this is not my code at fault.
May 5, 2011 at 1:14 pm #1452Yeah, I know. I was just asking for what has been changed/added, beacause in older v5 versions this issue never appears.
Anyway, if there is something I can do – please let me know.
May 5, 2011 at 1:16 pm #1449i’m trying to get some info from Jules maybe he can help, it’s just he is a busy guy, but check the juce thread to see what’s happening on the subject.
May 5, 2011 at 1:24 pm #1450Yes, I saw some minutes ago that there are movements on the topic ” title=”Smile” /> … thanks!
May 6, 2011 at 9:36 pm #1458i just uploaded a new build for the Mac, please those of you with those pretty machines give it a test it should fix the big "no mouse click when using as plugin" bug. It’s actualy not a real fix until i confirm it with the author of JUCE.
May 7, 2011 at 1:56 am #1459Really appreciate that a lot!

May 7, 2011 at 7:44 pm #1457I’m noticing my workflow has been speed up dramatically with some of the recent tweaks, additions, and random developments to ctrlr.
Atom, you’re quite the dedicated individual! Your work and dedication to this project is truly appreciated I encourage everyone who feels the same to give even a small donation to this project.
This developers motivation clearly comes elsewhere besides money, but it also clearly goes without saying that Atom deserves some gratitude for the huge gap in electronic music production that he’s helping to fill in here.
Atom – Thanks for listening and being so responsive to some of my anal suggestions!
