yesterday , i wanted to organize my work with the ctrlrs: wanted to save different presets for mopho, evo,(& tetra),
like this: preset for filter parameters, preset for VCA, preset for OSC1&2… the save procedure works, but the saved file seems to be empty, no saving possible, always have to reconfigure parameters… one good thing is that the preferences seem to be saved by doing this procedure(very usefull)
      i tried both VST/AU
that would be great if this worked

THe File->Save might not work, for now organize your presets in banks and program from the program menu, i will fix and make this option more usable soon, i never did it cause noone ever needed it <img decoding=” title=”Smile” /> But i guess it’s that time.

Do not we need for the "preset saving feature" always also a program dump from the edit buffer of the synthesizer itself, to save really what is in the device now, which could be sometimes different than what ctrlr might show/know on its GUI?

This is the main reason why I did not try to save any presets yet, I am just not sure how well ctrlr considers all these possibilities so far?

i’m not talking about savings programms, i’ m talking about the saving option that we have in live, wich can save the assignements made when configuring what parameter you want to be tweakable!! hope i’m clear , probably not so here is a picture, click on:

Well this is a Live 8 specific situation, in Live 7 all parameters are anyway available, you only need to map them, which can not be saved unfortunately afaik.

too bad , it’s very usefull to have the differents sections(filter, OSC, VCA)already mapped into presets (one for filter….,one for VCA… )

But I assume it is still not possible to save/export the CC mappings, instead you select only 8 parameters in each preset, then using the AutoMapping or Instant mapping, is this right?

If yes, I am still wondering, why it is not possible to save/export/split the CC mappings from the template itself? For a fixed and always available CC mapping you have to code python! Not the best solution imo.
