virus b ctrlr – no sound in ableton or stand-alone

hi

i have a problem with the virus b ctrlr.

i start it up in ableton. i select de midi out and in in the vst.
then i noticed that the knobs and buttons work (they do send the signal to the virus) and they change the
synths parameters (i.e. i can change the banks and programs, i can adjust the cutoff).

only problem is that the notes don’t work. if i try to play the vst keyboard the virus doesen’t receive any
note signal and no sound is out.

can you help please? am i doing something wrong?

Oh…I forgot to mention that I’m on a Mac machine, with OSX 1.6
