      Dear all,

I want to make an editor for my 30 yr old Kurzweil Midiboard. This device can only read/write its entire memory in one big sysex file.

My workflow idea would be to receive/load the entire dump from file. Make modifications in part of the file based on ctrlr interface, save it back to file (with a new checksum) and send it to the device.

The sysex format is not documented, but I have the source code of the midiboard and with this I pretty much found the locations of the parameters I wish to edit. So figuring out the format .. check

I’ve also started with the interface, I think I’m on the good way, but now I want to start loading data.

How to proceed at this point? Any examples how to deal with parsing sysex files? Changing info and so on.. And any clever ways to link this to the objects (sliders and so on)?

I need a bit of direction here.

      Thank you!

Hi, you can look at my DSI Pro2 panel. I’m doing the same as this is classical dump file management 🙂
