Hi atom, i’ve tried with different builds (1535, 1500, 1441).
I am on windows 7 64 bit, and i’ve tried with minitaur panel and little phatty panel.
thanks guys for the infos. I found that if i assign a ctrlr knob to a macro in ableton live, and then assign that macro to a controller, it will respond very bad, cause of live mapping that is really crap. So if in the future will be a dedicated midi learn for ctrlr, it will be killer! ” title=”Very Happy” />
up. Any way to get a midi learn function for the Ctrlr knobs? Is possible to assign a ctrlr knob to a midi controller?
thanks in advance for any info!
I ve tried a CC1 slider 0-127, and it works perfectly. The problem is with the 0-16383 range slider (CC pairs 1-33), i don’t know why moving the modulation wheel on the synth doesn’t move the ctrlr slider….but when i move the ctrlr slider it works perfectly.
I can’t understand how to get pitchwheel slider to work, i’ve also tried on a Virus TI and i got the same problem. I’m just using a normal uiSlider with midi message type = PItchwheel and value range=0-127. Someone that has made a working pitchwheel slider could tell me what i am doing wrong? ” title=”Very Happy” />
thanks in advance!
hi! any news for the modwheel? ” title=”Very Happy” />
thanks for check atom!
Pitchbend looks ok? But what type of slider i have to do to control it? I did a normal slider with pitchwheel signal assigned to the Midi message type…but i t seems doesn’t work properly. I didn’t see any panel in DEVICE PANELS that has the pitchbend slider, so i can’t look at an example for it
Sure, this is cutoff monitoring that works good in both directions:
Little phatty is sending 14 bit midi, in fact i can see cc 19 (MSB7) and cc 51(LSB7)
Really thanks for your help, ive tried to monitor pitchbend, this is what i get:
I’m not good with hexadecimal, someone knows what happens?
My last problem before i finish this panel is about Modulation Wheel (CC=1). It seems i can control all parameters of the synth on both direction (Ctrlr->Synth and Synth->Ctrlr), but modulation wheel works only from Ctrlr to SYnth. If i move the modulation wheel on synth the Ctrlr slider doesn’t move…i can’t understand why. All others parameters (cutoff, resonance, lfos, envelopes etc etc) works fine on both direction.
This is what i get on Ctrlr monitoring moving the modulation wheel:
really thanks msepsis for help, now XY works perfectly after re-loading.
For pitchwheel i don’t know, in my midi implementation chart it says only:
Pitchbend transmitted=O, received=O legend: O=yes, X=no
There is no CC that correspong to the pitchbend in the manual. When i move the slider controlling pitchwheel signal for the first time i listen a change in the pitch, but it is static and doesn’t change any more whem i move the slider. I’m working on a moog little phatty at the moment
thanks! It seems they give pairs cc informations only about Cutoff and ModulationWheel, not informations about other parameters (14bit are from 1 to 31 cc). I will send an email to ask moog about that^^
Thank you very much for all your help!wow it makes perfect sense! Thank you very much!
I didn’t understand that it makes a join at the end to control only the first cc number. Where did you find the specifications for the cc pairs (19-51, 21-53, etc..)? There is nothing about this on my moog manuals and addendum o_O?thanks for reply! But the slider will send the 14 bit message to one CC parameter or two? In this case i am sending a 7 bit message to cc19 and a 7bit message to cc 51, or i am sending a 14bit to cc 19?
Sry i am little bit retarded , just want to uderstand well this thing of cc pairs^^i understand that the number (’19’) after the MSB7bitValue is the midi cc number, but what is it the number ’51’ after the LSB7bitValue? It is also a midi cc number?
Well, i was watching the panel for the moog voyager (downloaded from DEVICE PANELS). I see that on cutoff slider (and many others) there are these settings:
Midi message type: multi
midi channel: 1
midi controller number: 1
midi controller value: 1Multi message list: CC, ByteValue, MSB7bitValue, 19, -1, F0 00 F7
CC, ByteValue, LSB7bitValue, 51, -1, F0 00 F7I would ask some informations about the last 2 lines, i didn’t understand them very much
thanks in advance!
I’ve tried the panel it works very good, except when i switch the cutoff mode button to ’14bit mode’. It seems that the cutoff button doesn’t send values any more except at value 0 (wich send 0). Maybe could you Atom give me any suggestion on how can i get this thing to work?
Anyway on ‘7bit mode’ on it works very good ” title=”Very Happy” />wow i didn’t see it! Thank you very much!!!
thanks for reply!
Ok, i was asking because on my actually firmware of moog little phatty it accepts to receive and sends 14bit data for cc like cutoff, resonance, pitchbend etc, so the steps are 0-4095 instead of 0-127, giving smoother response.
I’ve solved the 2).
For the 1) i ve found a workaround: if i copy a number from a text file i can paste it on ctrlr parameter. I don’t know why i can’t type it directly…i am missing something?Just last question: if i send a cc automation from ctrlr, it will send 3 bit midi, 7 bit midi or 14 bit midi resolution? There is an option to check and control the midi resolution?
thanks in advance!!
