WHY WAS DISGUISED TOAST ‘CANCELLED’?

On May 2, a Twitter user who goes by the name Hope posted a thread calling out Disguised Toast and spoke about his problematic behavior. The Twitter user posted a couple of videos of the streamer along with some of the statements he had made in the past to prove their point.

The user claimed that some of the things that Toast has said have been “borderline offensive.” The post read: “He has explained that there is a grey area between being offensive and not offensive, and he prefers to stay in the grey area where people can squint eyes at him and say, “that’s kinda messed up,” but at the same time, it isn’t.”

As the post continues, the user notes: “making edgy humor or dark humor jokes are not funny unless you are the one a part of that community and making the jokes. When someone who is not part of that community intrudes on that space in which they do not belong, it becomes offensive.
