If you can get me the ressources of that panel I can look into this, once I have some spare time.
Maybe earlier ” title=”Wink” />
I have a TX7 as well.
Regards, RomanAugust 13, 2012 at 6:05 am #4709Ah cool, that might work for my DX7 too !
January 7, 2013 at 2:49 am #5405I’ve uploaded the TX7 standalone Mac OS X AU/VST/Standalone version if this helps (http://www.sendspace.com/file/je71o5). I don’t know if they will help at all. Sorry, I don’t have the Windows versions, or a separate panel version.
I have also uploaded Mac standalones/au/vsts for Jomox Airbase (http://www.sendspace.com/file/sfalw1), Jomox Xbase888 (http://www.sendspace.com/file/a4cpo3), Jomox MBrane11 (http://www.sendspace.com/file/52dcl2), Waldorf Blofeld (http://www.sendspace.com/file/0z9jz6), Yamaha TX81Z (http://www.sendspace.com/file/sms2x9) if they’re useful to someone.

January 20, 2013 at 5:30 pm #5712Great! Now it would be good to know if (and how) you can extract the ressources (images) from the executable…
January 20, 2013 at 5:41 pm #5713The resources were in the source code, if someone can track down an old SVN repository with the old Ctrlr source, then all the XML and images and stuff are in the repo.
January 21, 2013 at 2:58 am #5717So this was a panel that simply used Ctrlr’s default modulators?
January 21, 2013 at 11:03 am #5721I did put the component (was also present in the downloaded zip file) into …/library /audio/plug-ins/components of my Mac and it did load fine in my DAW (Digital Performer). I didn’t test it yet, but if it works it will save me a lot of work. (I recently bought a TX7 for 60 euro’s especially to make a panel for this module.) I have attached a screen print of this module made by ‘lung’ and I must say it looks quite nice! My compliments and thanks for the upload!

You might have noticed the TX7.xml file(s) (e.g. in “Yamaha – TX7.app/Contents/Resources”). All sysex commands are listed there, so you don’t even have to look in the implementation chart!
I might do the Kawai K1 and Lexicon LXP1/5 instead 😉February 3, 2013 at 1:54 am #6028I didn’t test it yet, but if it works it will save me a lot of work.
The au/vst/standalone will open, but they don’t work for me, unlike the latest version of ctrlr.

I just tried to use the TX7 as AU in my DAW and though it opens fine, when I activate sliders there is no MIDI-activity. So probably the latest version of CTRLR is needed. At the moment I’m working on two other panels which is already a lot of work (and I’m not sure if it is ever finished), but sooner or later I will start on a panel for the TX7. Luckily I have a working Unisyn v1.52 (from MOTU) for older Mac’s which has an editor for TX7 (amongst many others), so I can study and use all the sysex messages Unisyn is using and I can even use the layout of this editor. I did the same for my Proteus/1 panel which I hope to finish in the near future.
April 4, 2013 at 10:13 pm #7822Hi erotematic, whether sooner or later, a TX7 panel would be great. I look forward to using it again. Cheers
April 5, 2013 at 2:41 am #7836I have finished the controller part of the panel and I’m starting with the processing of the MIDI in data from a patch dump request, because I want this panel also to become a patch editor. Unfortunately I’m not able to test the panel at the moment in a MIDI setup with the TX7 (I’m away on a kind of holiday).
April 8, 2013 at 12:48 am #7913wow, this is great stuff! I’ve got a TX7 and I’ve been looking for something like this for months! I’m happy to have run across Ctrlr, and I’d like to say thanks to all for the hard work involved!
April 12, 2013 at 1:37 am #8094erotematic,
That’s great news .. patch editing would be ideal. Good stuff. Cheers!
April 16, 2013 at 8:05 pm #8242The panel is finished (theoretically), but I want to test it extensively with the TX7 connected before releasing it. To do this I must be back home, which is somewhere in the beginning of May. So until then!
April 16, 2013 at 11:11 pm #8247Upload it to the panels section and mark is beta, i have a TX7 so i’ll test it a little, if i find some bugs i’ll let you know.
April 24, 2013 at 11:29 pm #8472Before doing the upload I checked the manual once again and found still a few loose ends which I only can solve with the device connected (and sending sysex messages). So please wait a bit longer. Thanks anyway for the offer to test this panel!
May 7, 2013 at 3:38 pm #8755thanks erotematic!!! cheers!
May 9, 2013 at 4:31 pm #8828So for all of you eagerly 🙂 awaiting this panel, I have just uploaded a beta version. I hope with the help of all interested forum members this will become a full grown professional editor/controller for the TX7!
