Ctrlr no longer opens?

Hello,

Just installed Ctrlr three days ago. After the install it ran ok but then it crashed a couple of times. Really didn’t think much about it because the program always restarted. Anyway, I completed the tutorial under documentation “Getting Started” with no problem, so I started to download some panels to check out what is being done with Ctrlr. Cool stuff, so I decided to start building my first controller panel. It is for an old Digitech RP-10 guitar effects processor. Things were going good on the 3rd day (which is today) when all of a sudden after I had modified a color fade for a ui group, the program started to not respond. So I closed the Ctrlr program and then tried restarting Ctrlr. Nothing. After a few attempts I decided to restart my computer, then restart Ctrlr. Nothing again. After a few more attempts, I decided to uninstall Ctrlr and then reinstall the program. Still nothing.

What should be my next step to get the program working again?

I really like the program and was really getting good with process of building and would like to continue so any help would be appreciated to get the program running again. Since, I am now a forum member and have read some of the posts, I will have a lot of questions once I get going on my project again, so hello world.

Thanks,

Norm

Isomorphic Keyboard

This is an isomorphic keyboard for Windows based devices with touchscreen. I made it for my Microsoft Surface Book but it should work with any Windows based touchscreen device.

I didn’t knew for a long time that Ctrlr has multitouch capability. It is not pressure or velocity sensitive but you can touch lots of keys at once and responsivity is pretty fast.

An isomorphic keyboard is interesting for chords play. Playing chords is always the same when you transpose or when you change root note.

There is no Mac version as I don’t know of any Mac with touchscreen. If you would like to try it anyway, or if you would like a Linux x86/x64 version, let me know: roet32(at)gmail.com.

Korg MicroKorg “MIDI EDITOR / REMOTE”/ CONTROLLER

Hi, my KORG “MicroKorg Midi Editor” is the first VST- PlugIn Editor /Controller for the legendary Synth “MicroKorg” . It`s a Remote and Sound Editor.

It provides a simple access to all important parameters!

It is possible as VST and Standalone for PC 32/64 Bit and Mac as VST, AU and Standalone.

The “MicroKorg” parameters can be automated, they can be stored in your Project.
With the X-Y-Pad any controller can be selected and controlled.

You can select the sound off the“MicroKorg” (Patch Number A11-b88  ).

The hidden parameter  can be changed on the“MicroKorg Midi Editor”, an stored on MiroKorg Hardware.

Help converting Roland Alpha Juno 2 bank syx file to 64 separate patches

I recently purchased Redominator which I though allowed for uploading Juno bank syx files.  I have my old Juno 2 and used SysEx Librarian to save my personal patches in a 4 KB file.  When I tried to load the syx file into ReDominator, I realized it only allows a single patch to upload (1 at a time).

Does anyone know of a program (OS X preferred by Win will work as well) that would divide up a bank syx into separate patches?  I have lots of banks and really do not look forward to either using a Syx editor for which I have no experience or trying to save each patch one at a time (times a million(.

Thanks in advance,

Help! I downloaded the Emu E4 beta panel & it crashed my Ctrlr

Hi everyone,

First thanks to the  writers of this amazing software for your great & invaluable work which Iv been using for a few years now with no problems , until today ..when I (stupidly perhaps) loaded the Emu E4 beta panel into Ctrlr as a new panel. It completely crashed & has rendered my Ctrlr app & all the panels unusable.

Its just jammed on a welcome note from the E4 panel developer (” thanks for trying my E4 panel/controller…hope you enjoy using it “etc…)

I can not open any of my other panels or erase the E4 beta panel, its just jammed/ crashed.  The only thing I can do is quit Ctrlr.

Im on Mavericks, OSX 10.9.5 & run Ctrlr as standalone.

I erased Ctrlr.. trashed it ,& the VST & Component versions from my library & downloaded the latest version Ctrlr- 5.3.198 .dmg ( which worked fine with all my other panels (7).

I restarted my computer after I trashed all the Ctrlr apps & the re-downloaded Ctrlr- 5.3.198 .dmg again & launched it & ***** ! its still there . It still opens stuck on the E4 panel.

I would appreciate it if anyone could help me get rid of this **** ,no disrespect to the E4 panel developer intended.  Its entirely my own fault for eagerly downloading an untested perhaps BETA panel.

I would love a working E4 Ctrlr panel , but would be happy for now with just my other Ctrlr panels working again,   Thanks ,    regards           Paul

Change global Midi Channel for a Panel

Hi, first post here. I started using Ctrlr only recently when I came across a couple of panels for some synths I want to control.

The panel I am trying to use at the moment is Kiwi-3P-Editor-2.5.bpanelz (Roland JX-3P with Kiwi Technics Upgrade) and I have set this panel’s MIDI Output to the correct Port and channel number, in my case midi channel 3, since all other midi channels are in use by other hardware.

At first I was unable to get any of the panel controls to operate the parameters on the Kiwi-3P synth, but after checking the midi output using Tools > Midi Monitor and then looking in panel mode I noticed that the controls are sending a sysex formula

So I looked through the Kiwi-3P manual and checked the sysex data layout. For example, the sysex structure for the Kiwi-3P Filter Cutoff is f0 7f 7f 7f 60 01 00 b0 29 xx f7 where b0 means Continuous Controller set to midi channel 1. If I change this to b2 (midi channel 3) and close panel mode, then the cutoff control on the panel works correctly and changes the filter cutoff on the Kiwi-3P as expected.

I could change the b0 part of the sysex formula for every control on the panel to b2 which would work, but that would take some time, and if I need to change the Kiwi-3P to another midi channel I would have to update the panel yet again.

So I would like to find out if there is a way to just change that midi number to a global midi code so no matter what channel the synth is set to, the panel will respond. I tried bx, by, bn, xx but nothing made a difference.

And I thought that is what the Midi Tab settings were for and they would override the midi output for the panels, but that doesnt seem to affect some panels. But as a comparison I just found and tried the Matrix 6 panel today and that seems to work correctly even when my Matrix 6r is set to Midi channel 8 & 9, so I guess there must be a way to do the same for the Kiwi-3p panel.

So any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Also great to see all those fantastic panels and all the hard work that has gone into them. So thanks for that

Cheers
