I learned from some VERY talented people :

I actually think it’s a testament to the power and ease of use that knobman provides. I made the metal knobs in about 25 minutes. The sliders took a bit longer to nail down, but still didn’t take too much time. I learned a lot of technique from studying the examples in that forum thread.
Now I just need to work on my Photoshop/GIMP skills for making good background images. I’ll likely use skinman to get the base of the background since it’s so much like knobman in it’s ability to make things quickly.

The formatting capabilities of those labels within ctrlr has come leaps and bounds beyond where it was just a month or so ago, who knows maybe soon we’ll be able to anti-alias and kern text on labels!!
very nice work!![/quote:1f3px9s6]
The tabs aren’t quite working correctly right now. Either the modulators sent to a a tab aren’t saved there after reopening the panel, or in my case it often crashes when sending objects to one. Atom just got this in there, and I know it probably took a good bit of complex programming to get it in there, so I’m not surprised it’s not 100% right now.
I filed the bug. I attempted to attach the panel with resources, but the filesize is too big to attach to the bug report. I’ll provide a link to the panel if you’d like to review it.

Please forgive me if I don’t understand the protocol of how to do things on here.
This is not something I have any experience in.Is there something specific I need to do or specific format required in order to post a bug?
Aha! Thank You,
except now it’s crashing when I start sending things to a tab.

I still would like to be able to some day down the road be able to output only predesignated modulator changes to this uiLabel as opposed to the most recently tweaked modulator.
[/quote:2fqxncps]+1 to this.
I have a case with the Blofeld where the LFO speed running free is 0 – 127, but when Clock is selected, contextually, the value switches to bars and beat divisions. Since Ctrlr doesn’t have contextual based functions to change like this, I need an additional uiLabel for this modulator that will display the Bars and Beats as the modulator value is changed.
So I guess I’m asking two things here, what originally msepsis asked for, output only designated modulator change,
And being able to have that value translated via formula or strictly to fixed textfrom modulater LFO Speed to uiLabel Bars/Beats :
Value received 0 = "256 Bars"
Value received 1 = "248 Bars"
Value received 2 = "240 Bars"
…etc…Wow,
I really love what you’ve done here. Mad respect for taking on the poly evolver too, it’s sysex can be a bit complex compared to other ones I’ve seen. This is one of my favorite synths and I can’t wait to crack into it with this.
Every device I have on my panel currently
uiImageSlider, uiFixedImageSLider, uiCombo, uiImageButton
Whether they are set for CC or for sysex, they output double midi message. 2 identical strings for every one parameter change.
I found a single uiFixedImageSlider that is putting out a single sysex message correctly, but the only difference between that one and several others is it’s unique name and their sysex parameter ID. Everyother one is sending out 2 messages.
the uiImageButtons, also sysex, are sending 3 on messages, and two off messages.
Most of these devices were copied and pasted from another device in the panel and then had their CC number, sysex string, and unique name changed. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not.
I loaded version 504 and the problem went away. Any other specific parameters you want me to post? There’s a lot of them so I wasn’t sure which you’re looking for.
I’m also seeing double midi messages being sent out for a single parameter change, whether it be CC or sysex.
Is it possible to not have the selection rectangle permanently on when locking a component?
"netchose":bapo1oig wrote:i just test that with 2 toggle buttons with radiogroup set to 1 and it works[/quote:bapo1oig]Radiogroup?
I don’t see this anywhere, can you elaborate some?**Edit**
Ah, I see. It was just added as a new feature. Cool.
umm..
It helps to have f-zero instead of f-O in the formula field
*smacks forehead*
Yes!! Sounds great.
TABS are going to make a huge difference for my Blofeld panel. Can’t wait!
*duplicate message*
wow!
That fixes a lot of my problems!
Is there documentation I’m missing for this stuff? I’d hate to be asking these simple questions when the information is readily available.Anyone else have this happening to them or am I just missing something? Can someone do a test to see if this is how it functions for them?
This way of working becomes especially troublesome when I’m attempting to have a Fixed slider send out values that are not linear, so adding to the modulatorValue can’t fix the problem.
I heard back from JKervinen. He’s been very busy and will be so for the next few weeks, but he said he’d be back to finish off this gorgeous panel.
May 29, 2011 at 8:10 pm in reply to: Changing Component Type or Copying Parameters to other Type #1718Yah, I’ve been prototyping a layout and using the non-image sliders until I make ones that I’d like to use for the project. I now realize I’ll have to go in and redo all those ones with the image slider now.
I’ve tried sending JKervinen a message here. I’ve even gone so far to contact him via email from his website, but he hasn’t replied to anything yet.
